Charities Aid Foundation: UK Giving Report 2022

Charities Aid Foundation: UK Giving Report 2022

CAF’s UK Giving research is the largest study of giving behaviour in the UK, interviewing a representative sample of the public each month with the goal of assisting charities, Government and wider society to better understand the UK’s evolving giving landscape.  This is a helpful insight into what people are giving to and why, across the wealth spectrum.

The study has been produced each year since 2004.

UK Giving research 2022 shows not only how the UK’s giving habits have changed following the easing of lockdown restrictions, but also how the public responded to a turbulent geopolitical situation and humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.

This latest report draws on monthly interviews conducted online throughout 2021, as well as more recent polling in 2022 when all restrictions came to an end. Close to 18,000 interviews were conducted in total. Some longer-term trend analysis is also included, using monthly data collected since May 2016.
