Venture philanthropy charity Impetus Trust has formed a partnership with Isis Equity Partners. Isis will provide both financial support and operational expertise to build capacity for charites backed by Impetus. Its work will include carrying out due diligence as well as post-investment development and monitoring.

"The combination of the financial and people support given to us by Isis fits very well with the Impetus model," said Daniela Barone Soares, chief executive of Impetus. Adam Holloway, a partner at Isis, added: "Not only is the Impetus model of funding charities very similar to the one we use in private equity, we look forward to helping Impetus improve lives and give something back."
