Awarded annually to an organization making extraordinary contributions toward alleviating human suffering anywhere in the world, the $1.5 million (U.S.) Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize is seeking nominations from throughout the international community .

Nominations will close 1st November, and an independent international panel of jurors will make the final selection; the recipient will be announced in the fall of 2008. Nominees must be organisations, not individuals, and must be established, non-governmental, publicly supported charitable organisations.

Previous winners have included the 2007 recipient Tostan - Community-led Development, Women for Women International and Partners in Health.
