Former TV journalist to lead on CAF’s communications strategy

A former television journalist, Mark Webster, has been appointed Director of Communications for the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF).

Having worked as a journalist for ITN and Channel Five and most recently the senior spokesperson for the Liberal Democrats, from February 2008, Webster will take on responsibility for CAF’s communications strategy with specific responsibility for media relations, research, policy, and events.

Announcing the appointment CAF Chief Executive John Low said: “Mark’s appointment is great news for CAF. He will play a vital role in changing attitudes to encourage greater giving to charities and raising awareness of the giving agenda. His knowledge of UK and international economics, politics and extensive media experience will be very beneficial to CAF.”
