Economic and Social Research Council offers Seminars on Social Investment in November

News

Social investment is a rapidly developing field attracting considerable policy interest, but as yet little research, and the ESRC and the Skoll Centre are sponsoring four interdisciplinary seminars to explore the innovations and the institutions emerging in this field in the UK and around the world.

Starting in November 2007 the purpose of the seminars is to create a basis for longer term, high-quality research in this growing area.

The seminars are strongly inter-disciplinary, and in particular registered PhD students (full-time and part-time) whose areas of research involve some aspects of social finance and enterprise, are encouraged to attend for free.

The cost of the seminars is £40 per seminar – or £100 for all four seminars. The seminars are organized by the Centre for Public Leadership and Social Enterprise at the Open University Business School with the support of the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship at Saïd Business School, and LSBU.
