The RSPCA is the world’s oldest animal welfare charity, founded in 1824. We strive to ensure that animals have a good life by rescuing and caring for those in need, advocating on behalf of all animals, and inspiring everyone to treat them with respect.
We raise standards of care and awareness of issues affecting animals. We push for changes in law to improve welfare on farms, in labs, in the wild, and in our homes. We rescue animals in distress, rehabilitate them, and rehome or release them. We work to stamp out cruelty and create a world where animals are treated with compassion. And this is all possible thanks to our supporters.
