Nearly 20 percent of global wastewater is produced by the fashion industry, which also responsible for 10 percent of global carbon emissions. In addition to all this, the fashion industry is one of the most polluting industries in the world. There is a huge concern about the impact of the sector on the environment and our life, especially due to the delay in raising awareness on this matter. In recent years, many brands have taken active steps in addressing these issues and finding solutions that enable their business to mitigate the impact on the environment and meet the customers' needs, but more could be done.

During this event, we will discuss the issues above as well as:

  • Trends that are shaping the future of the fashion industry
  • The role of the government in setting the regulations around due diligence requirements
  •  Role of impact /ESG investors, philanthropists and their professional advisors
