The International Committee on Fundraising Organizations (ICFO) has produced a substantial volume documenting a variety of independent montitoring methodologies for charities and fundraisers. It brings together European, Asian and American examples of guidelines for fundraising organisations operating in each region, as well as background articles on the need for effective monitoring to support the donor-charity relationship. 

The comparative study covers a range of governance standards and methodological components. While useful for international charities seeking guidelines on fundraising practices and administration, it should prove useful to charities operating in countries where independent monitoring bodies do not yet exist.
