OTS seeks applications for new advisory board

News

The Office of the Third Sector (OTS) is looking for a chair and twelve members for its new advisory board to advise ministers, and the OTS in overseeing the implementation of the third sector review commitments and priorities.

The new OTS Advisory Body will also work with the OTS strategic partners, who provide ‘voice’ of the sector into government; it is being established as a non-departmental public body to replace the Voluntary and Community Sector Advisory Group, the Futurebuilders Advisory Panel and the Infrastructure National Partnership.

The chair will be paid £10,000 a year for 25 days of work. Members will be expected to commit 15 days a year at a rate of £250 per day, plus “reasonable expenses”.

Once appointed, the chair will sit on the interview panel for the members. The closing date for applications for the position of chair is 10th March and applications for the 12 member roles will be accepted until 19th March. The body will be set up in April 2008 and the first meeting will be in May.
