News

The Centre for Social Investment (CSI), University of Heidelberg is starting the European Programme In Civil Society Leadership (EPICS) – a programme which is designed and delivered by leading European  research centres and scholars.

Aimed at Top European executives, EPICS has been launched to address the growing need of CSO leaders and managers to challenge their basic assumptions, develop their formal knowledge base and expand their personal networks.

EPICS will include three elements: a research-based programme delivered by leading European research centres and scholars; assignments with specific groups and field trips to a selection of interesting organisations; networking and experience to allow participants to benefit from the mix of CSO leaders and a variety of scholars from different academic disciplines, and to establish new professional contacts and potential strategic partners.

The trans-european executive programme will be delivered through partners' institutions:

  • The Economic Research Institute, Stockholm School of Economics (March 2009)
  • The Centre for Social Investment, Heidelberg University (June 2009)
  • Centre for Nonprofit Management, Trinity College Dublin (Sept. 2009)
  • Research Institute for Nonprofit Organisations, Vienna University of Economics (Nov. 2009)
