Blended finance is the use of catalytic capital from public or philanthropic sources to increase private sector investment in sustainable development. Only about 1% of total blended-finance flows in emerging markets is directed towards SDG 14: Life below water. During this event, we explored blended finance as a tool for clients who want to make an impact across their wealth strategy, as well as how can the conservation community address the barriers to scaling private investments and what role professional advisors can play.
