The event will focus on challenges and trends addressing a number of issues:

  •  VP was at the forefront of innovation and creativity 10 years ago – is this still so?
  •  While success is strong is it just scratching the surface? What does the future look like?
  •  Individual projects are rewarding and impactful but is there a need for more substantial projects in order to make meaningful change?
  •  Is it key to success that the continuum of capital - the intersection between philanthropy, impact investment and commercial investment – to make it work?
  •  What is the trade-off between social and financial return?
  •  How does one increase the flow and effectiveness of philanthropic capital and what is the role of professional advisers to (U) HNWI ?
Some in the VP network feel that it is a better methodology than traditional philanthropy. The speakers will address this concept looking at the questions: if it is better, why haven’t more people adopted? Does it do a better job at creating impactful organisations that are sustainable?
